KINGS OF PAEONIA. Patraos, circa 335-315 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 12.59 g, 7 h), Damastion (?). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΠΑ-ΤꟼΑΟΥ Paeonian horse­man, wearing crested helmet and full armor, galloping right and spea­ring fallen Macedonian. HGC 3.1, 148. Paeonian Hoard I, 445-7 (same dies). Peykov E2160. SNG ANS 1040 var. (differing arrangement of reverse legend). An attractively toned and sharply struck example. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
